Business funding FAQ

What is business funding?

Business funding is working capital a company receives to cover costs or take advantage of an opportunity, such as inventory, payroll, marketing, equipment or expansion. It can come as a merchant cash advance, a line of credit, equipment financing or other products, and the right one depends on your revenue, time in business and goal.

How fast can I get business funding?

On a complete file, offers usually come within 1 to 5 hours. Funding usually lands within 24 to 48 hours of applying, and it can be as little as 24 hours. Timing depends on how quickly documents come back and on the product you choose.

How much business funding can I get?

Amounts range from $10,000 to $5,000,000. The amount you qualify for depends on your monthly revenue, your time in business and your industry. Use the calculators on our merchant cash advance page for a quick estimate.

Will applying hurt my credit score?

We use a soft pull only, so applying does not affect your credit score. Our minimum credit score is 500. We look at your business revenue and cash flow, not only your score.

What do I need to qualify?

At least 1 year in business and at least $5,000 in monthly revenue. Our in-house Direct program starts at about $50,000 in monthly revenue, and our marketplace program starts at $5,000 per month. You will also need recent business bank statements.

Is business funding the same as a bank loan?

No. A merchant cash advance is not a loan. It is an advance with a factor rate and a fixed daily or weekly payment, and it is built for speed and flexibility. A bank or SBA loan usually costs less over time but takes weeks or months and has stricter requirements.

How does repayment work?

Repayment is a fixed daily or weekly payment, so you know the amount before you sign. Terms are typically up to 10 months, and sometimes up to 15 months. Once you have paid back 50 to 70 percent and your account is in good standing, you may qualify for a renewal.

Do I have to put up collateral?

No collateral is required for our Direct merchant cash advance. Other products offered through partners, such as asset-based financing or a home equity line of credit, use collateral by design. Ask your representative which fits.

Do you work with brokers?

Yes. If you apply directly with us, you work with us, not a broker or middleman. We also welcome brokers and ISOs through our partner program. Brokers can earn up to 15 percent on funded deals, and the first to return signed documents gets the deal.

Where can I see the exact costs?

Our Transparent Terms page lists factor rate ranges, fee ranges and term lengths in plain numbers, so you can see the cost before you apply. Funding availability and terms vary by state, and some states require written disclosures.
