This can be done by analyzing what has turned a profit so you can get rid of what hasn’t and at the same time do the same with your employees meaning check what leadership or marketing strategies has worked and resolve the issues your team has with anything regarding how’re your business has been run. Shifting to your external focus always be vigilant on what your competition is doing to check whether your gaining ground or not and when you have you could now implement company goals short/long term alike and try to see if they could compliment your businesses main objectives. While you’re at it the same can go for your computer particularly your email which could get flooded with spam mail and other messages. Speaking experience cleaning up my inbox was a very tedious task so getting it out of the way means you wouldn’t start the new year with a chore and on the same token back-up any files that are important to your hard drive.

 Commit To Yourself

This is where you develop yourself as you don’t have to deal with the the noise from work and your personal life. So what is the best thing way for you to develop yourself is to do it on your own time and pace. Set up personal goals for the year that you want to accomplish next year and write down a plan on how you’re going to do it.  Do some soul searching and find new things you’d want to learn like a new skill or hobby or even a another degree that could enhance your skill set. Make space to pursue those goals you for the following year if you can. Treading along the same path as committing to yourself is self-care which is important as many people make promises in the new years that they can’t realistic fulfill because of lack of will. Self care is a daily endeavor and only works when you implement small changes like eating right, exercising, having a strong healthy relationship and sleeping more are some examples of routine self-care behaviors. Commit to them especially in periods of high stress so that your mind is cleared.

Commit to Your Team

Your team is your most important asset as they have worked just as hard as you and been through the trial s and tribulations of the company/organization so before the year is over it is best you show how much you’ve appreciated their efforts. According to a survey by Glassdoor many people feel being appreciated as an important part of maintaining a workforce with high morale. Off course you should thank them every now and then but the end of the year is the perfect time to give credit and reward to the efforts they’ve put in all year either through a party, a company expense night out or other fun activities. Give time to show your appreciation so that they come back highly motivated and in good spirits.
